ABOUT THE JOB
 
Position Type: 
  • Permanent, Part-time (20 - 24 hrs week)
  • With potential for full-time employment

Start Date: Upon hiring of suitable candidate

Compensation: $21.80 per hour

Requirements:
  • Previous janitorial or interior cleaning experience required
  • Willing to complete a Vulnerable Sector Background Check
  • Be available to work weekdays with occasional evening and weekend shifts if needed
Job Summary
The Janitorial Lead will ensure that those experiencing barriers to employment receive the hands-on training and tailored support they need to achieve their transition goals.  The Janitorial Lead will ensure that the daily janitorial jobs are complete. Following the completion of each job the Janitorial Lead will do a Quality Inspection to ensure client satisfaction. The Janitorial Lead is responsible for reporting any concerns directly to the MP Clean Team Manager. 

Working Conditions
The Janitorial Lead will report to the Clean Team Manager. This role is team-based and will work alongside the MP Clean Team and other departments. Most work will take place outside of MP’s office, either on a driving or walking route, or in client premises.

Key Areas of Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
  • Able to lead a crew while providing on-site cleaning
  • Provide excellent quality cleaning services to customers
  • Ensure safety, job quality and customer satisfaction
  • Engage positively as a member of a team
  • Take an active part in team L10s and monthly all staff meetings.
  • Provide feedback to the MPM Clean Team Manager about job sites and associate progress.
  • Maintain an accurate log of metrics and updates to work-order details
  • Other duties as assigned by MPM Clean Team Manager

  • Experience working in the Downtown Eastside community is an asset
