Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards and Disability Employment Awareness Month

Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards and Disability Employment Awareness Month

Mission Possible is honoured to be a finalist in Open Door Group’s Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards in the Inclusive Culture Champion – Social Enterprise category! This category recognizes social enterprises who demonstrate an inclusive workforce that harnesses the strengths of people with disabilities. Open Door Group’s Untapped Workplace Inclusion Awards honours businesses of all sizes and individuals that are leading the way in workplace diversity, inclusion, and accessibility!  Thank you to Open Door Group for their recognition!

This recognition is particularly timely as Disability Employment Awareness Month took place in September in British Columbia and is recognized nationwide throughout October. This focus highlights the importance of inclusivity in the workforce, particularly celebrating the contributions made by workers with disabilities.

At Mission Possible, inclusivity is at the heart of the work we do. With nearly 50% of our associates receiving Person with Disability (PWD) assistance, we recognize the barriers that our associates face when it comes to accessing opportunities. We believe in the transformational power of opportunity and aim to support and empower individuals to bring out their untapped potential, no matter what barriers they may be facing.

We are committed to continuing to do our part in ensuring inclusivity remains at the forefront of our work and in the employment opportunities we offer. We also continue to be a leader in this field by sharing what we know with others to encourage more inclusive hiring.
